I had a good 30 seconds penalties on each stage for resets and I was not that fast.

I had a half-roll and a reset that really ate into my times
Got fastest time on the last stage though, so that was comforting being .1 seconds faster on the worst stage in the event.
I had no idea how hard the Alpines were gonna dominate though.

Yay, managed to finish in one piece, despite of a roll off the cliff in the night.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

Well the Lancia default gear ratios are completely ridiculous! Lost 25 secs opening stage.
Luckily I screwed up service areas so i could fix the ratios before the second stage.
Lost 30 the following stage thanks to a big whoopsie though so ended up near on a minute behind in 5th at the time.
Got in the groove from there and made it back to 35 seconds in the next 3 stages so was happy with that recovery.
I almost forgot how much I love DR :)

Hmm, can you tell me what you did to the gears on the lancia so I know for next time, I never know enough to know what to do with setups

Not much planning or technical know-how went into it!
I just made the gearing more linear as 2nd was too short, 3rd was waaay too long and 4th hardly got used.

So this is going to be a bunch of single events rather than a series?

En-J and I wanted to run you guys through the slower cars and a multi-stage event at Greece as two warm-ups before we get into the faster cars for the real championship.
(Also, if we can maintain interest in it, a BIG rally at the end)

Also, have an event poster

Tough rally, just finished it, hit 3 trees on the last stage cos I lost my cool and tried to push it.

I'd like to introduce my high-tech car selection process for the round.

I've looked at what's available, first of all. Then my wife asked me to look something up on the net, so I've alt-tabbed out. Program went to tiny window in the middle of the screen. Coming back I thought "I remember how to make this full screen again!" and hit alt-enter. And with that, I was in fullscreen, and my car selection was complete!

Still, I've followed Master Bails to those trees as accurately as possible, see the time differences between us, it tells the whole story! ;)

I cost my self about 15 seconds by getting too crazy over jumps and hitting some rocks. I just nosed into them but had to reverse. My speed is never great but to be a 1 minute behind is a good result for me.

Without any practice I'd thought I'd have a go at this event. Was fun, but had a few offs that cost me time. Hopefully I'll get faster once I get some time in the game and understand setups and all that. :)

The full-time season will be delayed by a day or two due to the league creating system being a prick.
You don't have to run in the events currently up as they are not the season as of current.

I've played a bit of DiRT Rally but I have no idea where to join in on this. Do I have to sign up somewhere? How do the times get logged etc?

If you start off from this page (it works now)
https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/leagues/lea ... rse-champs

You need to log into their site, but I believe then you'll have the option to join up - I certainly have an option to leave the league.

Okay, official word is: Season is go!
We're adding these first two events to the next 6 and table the points here.

First event is 80's at Finland and Greece.

Well, I've tried. DNF'ed out on the night stage. I got there damaged - should not have tried this in the morning when the sun shines in, I could not see on the shady parts too well. Consequently I haven't had enough headlights by the night stage. Another crash later I had no headlights whatsoever. I couldn't see shit, so I've retired.

Greece...night stages. The only reason for a night stage is to mess with those who already have damage.

Should there be a thread in the ARSE Racing section for this? Might drum up some more drivers.
