GT 5 favourite car thread

Post by Shaun »

So now we have all been playing for a bit what's your favourite. Also what's your favourite car to slide :)

Intially my favourite was the BMW M3 Chrome Line, but I've now added a few more to the list:

Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 ‘65 - In the process of modding. Wicked drive that is similar to my Celica but doesn't sound as good.
BMW M3 Coupé Chrome Line Edition - Second car I drove, pure awesome was my assessment.
Ferrari 599 - Sex on wheels!
Lamborghini Countach LP400 - Awesome drive, but crap engine sound with titanium exhaust.
Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640 Chrome Line Edition - A bit of weight reduction and engine mods matched with better tyres = WICKED!
Mazda Eunos Roadster (MX5) - First car and now completely modded. Needs more than 251hp and will be going back to sport tyres to get the fun back into it.
Shelby Cobra 427 Chrome Line Edition - Had to put some better rubber on it, afterwards, :yikes: what a machine!
Toyota CELICA 1600GT (TA22) ‘70 - In the process of modding, but atm it's a barrel of fun and sounds hot.

So far anything Lamborghini is awesome to drive provided you get the right tyres to match the power to weight ratio. The Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone Prototype CN.0706 ‘67 is fucken awesome. Used it in a Special Event and want to buy it also.

Another car I drove in a Special Event is the Ferrari Scuderia 430 which was sweet. Need to buy it also!

I haven't bought too much yet.

Out of the cars I have, a mildly tweaked BMW Z4 Roadster - soft sport tyres, exhaust, close ratio box and sport suspension and it handles sweetly. Not too fast but the balance is amazing. The McLaren F1 Stealth edition I downloaded is the best "fast" car I've driven so far. The central driving position and oodles of grip make it unreal fun.

I like my Nissan GTR, and the Gallardo is nice too. (I always like a lambo...)
But man that Gallardo needs some decent tyres...
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

I am still racing in the beginner series events. So far though the Nismo rr-m (i think) FF Cup Car is farking wickid for a slot car.

Apart from that my experience is limited to the fact I have been so knackered since it came out I am only 10% done and only own 8 cars.

Ferrari 512BB ( i think) with some slight mods and semi slicks is wild. Still only using controller but played with the suspension for about an hour and its drift city.

I am quite happy with my breathed upon E Type Coupe i also have a rather worked Lotus Elan and and a really nice looking Boss Stang that is a complete pig to drive.

For dorifto action the 427 Cobra is heaps of tyre shredding fun but i am really partial to both the Monaro and that M3 ChromeLine thingo.

Got to say i am stoked that there are so many old cars and some of them are complete heaps of shit :) by the way has anyone seen any Escorts or Capri's ?

I'll be putting a lot of time in the R32, it was my first car in GT1 and GT2. ahhh the memories...

Not so much about the ponies, but getting that sweet all wheel steering feeling when set up is great.

Looking forward to building up the 'Stang too. If you lads knew what I nearly did today you'd have bitch slapped me... Found a '65, blue... Shelby clone, $33k. I nearly fucking bought it for real...

been having some great fun in the Caterham 7 Fireblade, it's eats corners, only problem is it's very slow off the line (gearing is way too tall). Also, the Jag XJ13 is epic fun!

I've won m'self a Veyron today :yummy: but sadly it's in the ugliest colour you can imagine... :melt:
It's a very serious weapon. But if you don't buy some racing slicks on it, you'll never stop
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

Just won one now... about to try it, mine too is an ugly colour :(

Today I tweaked my Audi R8 Chrome Line to have over 800hp and a 30/70 drive split.

Any 1000+ hp sub 1000 kg race car with soft race tyres and no aids (eg MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V race car).... :yummy: :yummy: :yummy: :yummy: Car actually loses traction if you turn and push the accel at the same time! You can get some pretty awesome slides going. Otherwise SLS AMG with full mods - which you'd think with 820 hp it would lose traction but ends up understeering everywhere.
