Cheers Knappo, shouldn't be a problem. I completed IB today.

That event is tough, the night toscana event is cool though.

Man it feels like so long ago since i did those events, i hope that when any DLC comes out, it includes more fun special events

tip, just noticed that it took me 3 x goes to get racing soft tyres on my 787B Mazda, not sure if its a glitch on my end, but man that was a expensive exercise especially at a $36,000 pop for each buy

maybe check that the tyres are fitted and goe into setup before race to see if there in there aswell

It's cheap if you consider that you're getting a lifetime supply of those tyres. :D

I've found a 'cheat' today;
running the expert level series 1, and the limit was "racing hard" tyres. Got into the session, and in the options I could select the intermediate racing tyres I had spare...
Dunno if it's repeatable, though. The race series is still running, and will be for a good while.

by the way; you gotta love the working flaps on cars like the Veyron!
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

I've seen this too. When you buy racing tyres you get intermediate and wet tyres as a 'set', those intermediate tyres are for light rain i guess, bit different to racing medium tyres

ah, you're right of course. It's the rain tyre, not the "medium" softness one. Bah. :)

Still can't Gold the Grand Touring first race. Managed to complete the rally stage in that event, found I was spending too much time sliding and not enough time going forward.

But that Alfa on Eiger is a little epic for me. I am a second off the pace.

I only had a few runs of the Alfa there but yeah - I was miles off. Even putting in what I though was a pearler of a lap would get me a second off.

I think I've done that, but it was a battle indeed. First try I was staggeringly off the pace...

But what really got me riled up was how badly the Elise handles. It oversteers like there's no tomorrow, and as soon as you touch the throttle it goes off as if it had 400 HP on the rear wheel.
I had to switch all sorts of aids on to be able to do the top gear challenge.

The grand tour 1 event needs you to be very quick through the first hairpins. If i remember correctly I turned off ABS to make sure the ASM wasn't interfearing.

I didn't mind the TG challenge, just had to try to brake in a straight line. Not always easy at the first corner but possible. But getting Bacharacks right when in that elise is bliss :D

Yes on both counts GT.

I know thats where the time is won or lost on Eiger in that car. I have tried a few different methods, including flicking the ass around the hairpins. I need to hit the bridge at 31 seconds to know I can get it, so far my best is 32.3. The rest is quite ok, although the last double right is easy to feck up if I turn in to early.

TG Lotus challenge thats all there is to it, brake in a straight line. Which I find quite unbelievable because its such a light car and quite low to the ground.

I was taking referance time at the end of the bridge (35 seconds was needed), but the most important corner for time is the kink after the tunnel
