Finally hooked the g25 up... Absolute hoot! Just wish there was more scope for changing wheel settings. Don't have room on my desk for the shifter so it makes it interesting driving H-pattern cars to say the least :)

rep do u find with the g25 say after about hmm probably 180 degrees the wheels ingame just dont go any further, with mine when the car gets sideways the ffb will push it to correct but ingame the wheel stops when my wheels is barely turned on my desk and its like the wheel on the desk is being pushed so much further so to get the wheel centered i am going through way to much effort. dont know if i have done something wrong but yeah

Mmmmm... had a run out on GT5P at a mates house on Sat night although only with gamepad. Have to say it looks stunning and the on board driving position is nice, Prolly due to the pad but it does feel a little woolly to me. Just got to talk my mate into getting a wheel and pedals.

The other thing that impressed me during the evening was the Wip3out HD demo. The Quake looked awesome...... :D

You can only use paddles on cars that have paddles IRL (apparently). I end up using the shifter for H only cars at some obscene angle on my desk. I can understand them locking the settings for the wheel (to keep it even for all users) but at the same time it should be entirely down to the user as to what buttons they want to use. I'm sure I'd be a second or two a lap quicker if I could use settings I'm used to. I'll probably end up going back to the six-axis controller and mastering that instead.

Also that M3 race in S class is bloody hard. I'm doing these 'amazing' laps and still a good second off gold! ARgh!!! Looking around at the online time trials and races it seems the "Elise 111R" is the "best" car in the game, if only because its the lightest. I wont be surprised if they give it more PP in the next patch although that would mean wiping the tt charts.

I can't use the paddles in any car. Can't set them up either becuase there is no G25 option in the controler menu. I can't wait for the patch that will allow privet rooms. Racing against most of the guys online is pointless, they treat you like your AI and the lag factor is great either. How dose it sort out the grid. I AM ALWAYS LAST!!! Really shitting me off....lol

I don't think they have ever had standing starts. I hadn't tried online yet and was wondering how they would do it. Just like the old AAL days :)

Grids by ping.....Oh that's bad. They should have a some kind of player filter so you can search for players with low pings or in the same part of the glob as you.

And there is standing starts. Fuji Speedway Expert. That's the only one i've had it on though. Getting the 599 off the line is fun, but when you get it right it'll beat an r8!

Damage in GT5P this year?
Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi says that that Prologue will get an update this year that will finally add damage to the franchise.

Yamauchi told C&VG today that Prologue would receive a major update this year that would add more online features (we knew that) but would also add car damage (this is new).

The developer has spoken of damage coming to the franchise at a later date, but this is the first time it's been nailed down to a particular game or as far as we can tell - decade.
Found on Boomtown.net. Interesting to say the least

Then go faster haha. If they can make the damage as good as the cars... I think we are in for a real treat.
