deleted the entire folder, started from scratch, issue persists :(

It happens even if it's just loading the modloader files and not by the way, so I guess it's something with the modloader?

I did, yes... Noticed my hard drive is almost full, clearing out some space... maybe that has something to do with it...

Man, eventually found the issue... by the way Wiki not updated, still pointing me to 4.34, not 4.35!

Anyone know who sleekjazz is? First post on the forum asking to join the server, I'm bit suspect about it.

My thoughts too.

If you know someone on the forum Ken, let us know. It is a private server so we don't openly give out details.

It is pretty easy to use. I think there is a demo if you want to try it. All I know its the best $$ I ever spent on a game.

It's pretty easy to use, on a $$ per hour basis, nothing comes close to it, as Neil mentioned grab the game and play it in demo mode to see if it's for you, some people just don't gel with it, but they are few and far between.

I might finally be able to rejoin the server but I seem to have some persistent problems putting by the way on my old mac. I get black screened on loading up.

Also, the sound is screwed up as well so mute it is. :fall:

The end is just about impossible on this difficulty level. The barest glance at an enderman, even with a pumpkin helmet, and you get jumped by 50 of them and die almost instantly.

The stronghold is not far north of my place (which is due west of spawn) if anyone else wants to try :)

I need to build a railway back to spawn. It's damn tedious walking back home every time I die.

spent the last 30 minutes making the trek to spawn and back to get my bearings.

Is anyone else struggling to get into this mod? I have no idea why but I just can't get into it, maybe I just need a longer break from MC than I thought.

Im having fun wandering around, but I think the complexity of Tekkit makes it feel like a backward move.

Though in my wandering from my home to find spawn I found 10 diamonds and 20 gold bars in sand villages and ruins. nice haul :D

Found jungle ruins too though the yield was nothing great.

Unfortunately there is no official java for ppc mac, so it's possible the mod contains code which won't run on it. You could try running ubuntu on it and using openjdk or ibm's java for ppc.

Have you tried this jar? It works for me in windows and linux, so at least you could rule out the mod install part of the equation. If I get time I could see if it'll run with openjdk or ibm's java for you.

Where were the villages? Unfortunately all the villagers in my town got wiped out by a zombie horde. It would be good to secure a village before that happens so we can try out the trading stuff.

to give you a rough idea

head due west from spawn until you hit the desert then head north following the jungle but stay out in the desert. You will see some torch markers I have left.

keep the jungle well in sight and you will soon come across 4 villages

Furthest north is my house and this borders on desert, jungle and normal hilly terrain. Desert stops here - no villagers left
south of me and slightly further west is where I spent a night. Villagers are all boarded up inside 1 building. Things got ugly during that night my friends. We lost some good people and a shit load of doors.
The other 2 further south simply had me pass through (and take their shit) so should be in good order. Both had a blacksmith, 1 had a library. These are not far north of that turn you make after heading west from spawn.

happy trails

Im enjoying it immensely.

since i saw this mod, i have been waiting for it to be SMP, and thats why i jumped on it when i saw it.

I had fun in tekkit, but to me tekkit is just to much. Within a few days of playing i had everything i needed to just automaticly Mine and automaticly sort stuff. I got bored quick. B T W has some of the same automation, but you really have to think about getting it done.
