Same with the flat pedals. One slip of foot going downhill and it's tender testies.

Then again, the 'local fire trails' might not be as root and rock infested as the trails here so ymmv.
Much cycling such kilometers.

Not sure about the trails in question, but i can think of quite a few that would be safely rideable on flats.. At worst they are a bit rutted through rainfall runoff, but they're mostly very well maintained.

Yeah that speedo is just a cheapy, I should fix it, have a better one in the post.
I do like the chunky pedals tho, no slips yet. Not a big fan of clipless pedals offroad.
Just been riding around the Sturt Gorge for the lady week.

Is that the Awaba 1.0 ? if so, looks like a decent spec for reasonable coin! :)

Tis the Awaba 1.0. I was saving for the 2.0 but they dropped the 1.0s price so I had to grab it=)

The only question is "why?" ...

Penelope complete with new Tiagra 10-speed shifters, cassette and rear derailleur, plus Sora 52/34 front crankset and derailleur. Also has new bars underneath the bar tape which are alloy replacing the steel ones I had before ... cost me €5. Oh yeah, new wheels. Proper photos to come ...

Friend of mine recently got some studio lights and a nice photography backdrop, so the obvious thing to do is take photos of bikes! :) I think they turned out pretty good.. might have been a little better without the silver stand, but that's all we had.
