Wiggle for service, quickest delivery and good prices.
Chain Reaction for best prices and biggest range.
Cell are the best Aussie shop in my opinion
Torpedo7 have some great deals but delivery is ridiculously slow! (auspost)

good for all things MTB, very good too if you need stuff urgent, purchase online, give them a buzz, they'll overnight it.

Also, I will also say Cell Bikes are tops, most orders I normally get within 4 days. We rang them yesterday for some stuff to use this weekend, they overnighted it for us and we had it thismorning. This is the advantage of the Aussie online shops.

I was using http://frugalrouleur.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; & noticed they have added a new online retailer - http://www.merlincycles.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Prices I checked so far seem very competitive & postage is not too exorbentant from what I could tell.

So anyone had any experience with them before?

Good ? mate as I can't find em either, I suspect international standards means they can't sell outside of the UK...

I know other UK online stores have them but I have always borked at buying given my concern around insurance / TAC coverage if it was discovered post accident that my helmet didn't have the AS/NZ approval sticker on it.
I also would be DQ'd & reprimanded if found caught using a non-approved helmet in a sanctioned race / event. Not that it would worry you but the 1st point might.

I have always found a bargain locally, even the most expensive helmets get heavily discounted at times & the piece of mind is worth the extra $'s.
My 2c's anyway... ;)

If you get checked at a charity ride also

Get it from either an Australian site or a shop. I've had the luck price wise with going into shops, especially older stock.

i wear a UK purchased helmet, but have a second AS helmet for racing. What annoys me is that i paid a premium just to have that stupid AS sticker, and even with the limited usage that it gets it's peeled off so i've had to stick it back on with tape. so it looks dodgy :/

there's a few Aus online shops now that have half reasonable prices on helemts, so as long as i knew what i was looking for i'd go for that option. At the time i bought my MET Inferno from Chain Reaction, i got it for $170 and i think locally you'd be looking at around $300 .. that a fairly large premium for a sticker..

Yep, got some kits from them recently for myself and Jamo

I haven't bought any super expensive stuff so I don't have much to compare it to, but they are better than most of the kits I have

Jamo was quite impressed with the quality of it as well

Their jerseys are a little short so get the bib knicks - and check your sizing against the chart

Only problem I had with them was stock - half of my order was out of stock, but I didn't know it until the first shipment was sent
At least they sent what they could and the rest was sent about 3 weeks later

I chose the EMS shipping - bit more expensive but I guess it was worth it for the tracking - only took 5 days to get here

I was also looking at this site as well "http://www.cycling-monton.com/" but ended up going with Mupi

Just wanted to give out a recommendation for Wiggle, I ordered a pump through them but they sent the incorrect model, when questioned they asked me to send a pic of the pump and they would get back to me, so I sent the pic to confirm I did get the wrong item, they agreed and sent out the correct pump.

So I'm a happy camper as I now have 2 pumps for the price of one, guess it wasn't worth the expense of asking me to send the 1st pump back. :jump:

They are great.

They sent me an email apologising for losing my order and asked if I wanted it resubmitted or cancelled and my money back. Trouble was, I had received it. I told that expecting some good karma. I got a thanks. :)

I've had pretty good dealings with Chainreaction in a similar manner. latest was a missing cable out of a groupset. quick email and another one was on its way, no questions asked.

Compare that with an Evans order where they left out a set of brake pads. On emailing them, they replied with an "oh well" type reply  On prompting when i might receive the rest of my order, the response was that the invoice said it was sent. Another email from me verifying that indeed the invoice said what they claimed, but the brake pads were not in the package. Their response was "do you have photographic proof" .. W ..T..F.. ? So i lined up all the items i did receive, sent that to them, pointing out in a cover email that there was a set of brake pads missing. I also pointed out the absurdity of requiring photographic proof of the non existence of something :tilt: final email from them saying that they would send me the missing pads.. so from that point onwards i try to only buy single items from them.. figure that kind of order is more difficult to screw up :)

I also had a great experience with Wiggle recently. I ordered some gatorskin tyres for mine and Speed's bikes (I've been getting a flat about once every 2 weeks lately, so I hope they're good!) - ordered at about 6pm my time on Monday evening, parcel delivered before midday Thursday! Awesome service, especially since it takes about 10 days to get anything delivered to Perth from the Eastern States.
