i'm sure residents will be pretty happy that this is on the same day as the official NS TT. Looks like Norton Summit Road will be closed for most of the day!

Yep, already signed up, but no idea about the finish point.

I'd assume they'd be running it over the Norton Summit strava segment.. so the finish would be here:

edit: actually, i take that back.. they have their own segment. it's pretty much where you stopped to wait for me last year when you caned me up the hill :)
edit2: and the start point is further up the hill, taking out much of the hard bit from the beginning.

Headed out to the final round of the Santos Women's Tour yesterday evening at Victoria Park. It was still super hot and humid, but a fantastic crowd was there to check out the close racing. A few shots:

Awesome day out at Stirling today. Fortunately the weather was much more manageable, sitting around the low to mid-30s for most of the day.

I was fortunate to have a great base to work from with a mate living right on the course loop in the finishing town. It looked like a fairly hard days racing for the riders today, with the peloton smashed to pieces in the final lap of the finishing circuit. Despite being a sprint finish I'd be surprised if todays stage didn't blunt the legs of some of the riders. Adam Hansen was a superstar, riding hard off the front for what seemed an eternity. Caleb Ewan, while looking pretty smart in the ochre jersey, was way off the back at the finish. A few shots:

So today was a bit different from Miss V and myself. With the Challenge Tour on tomorrow we'd planned a bit of an easy day, basically trying to keep off our feet. That said, we felt that perhaps a ride to spin the legs over might be beneficial. With that in mind we headed up Gorge Road and then based ourselves part way up Corkscrew Road, the final climb of the day. Temperatures weren't too bad along Corkscrew Road, but heading back home it was starting to get crazy hot again.

Forecast for tomorrow is hot and humid, with an 80% chance of between 3-10 mm of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. fantastic :/

A few shots from today below. The last image shows Tyler Farrar on a bike he borrowed from a roadside fan :)
