Successful landing for SpaceX's latest launch. How does that thing stay up with the size of those waves? I assume all the weight is at the bottom.

Amazing stuff. You'd think there would be an uninhabited island or something they could aim for instead wouldn't you, but the fact they've achieved this on a wibbly wobbly boat is mind-blowing.

I've watched a lot of these launches but I'd forgotten just how big the thing is until that Twitter video. It's like landing a building!

And the sea was higher then the other landing attempts..

Barge is about the size of a Soccer field, And the landing part of the rocket is about 70m.
What happens to the stage if it lands? - Assuming all goes well, the first stage will be upright on the barge. Once it has vented its LOX, the support crew (in a ship a few km away) will go to the barge and weld a metal shoe over each landing leg, so that the first stage can stay standing if there are high winds or a bad storm, etc.

Seems the video I posted above isn't a live feed. It's someone streaming footage from their pc.

Here are some actual live feeds

Mercury did a transit across the sun today.

Was very cloudy but I did manage to get one picture. I was hoping to get a series but the cloud put paid that early on.
The little fella is on the left of centre. The other marks are sunspots.

Onboard Blue Origin's latest landing

Video from our New Shepard flight on April 2, 2016 showing flight of the booster from just ahead of reentry through descent and landing. Video is from the GH2 vent camera located just below the booster’s ring fin.
Amazing how fast it stops on the external view.
