Did a mock WEC race at VIR last night. Cant recall the parameters I set the AI at but fuck me they are on it!

I took the Porsche LMP1 and had 6 other LMP1 cars and split the remainder of the field between GT2 & GT3. I was giving it everything I could and only managed 4th in qualy.
The race I got a cracking start and took the lead but the other 3 LMP1 cars were hounding me the whole way. I was quicker in the turns but they would make it back up on the back straight and challenge under brakes, every lap! I had to gap them in the corners to hold them off on the straights. Fuck it was fun.

As soon as we caught the back markers I could breathe. I was able to do much riskier overtakes and make a gap. Biggest it got to was 4 seconds, end of the race it was at about 2 seconds. If there were no back markers I reckon I would have been done for, the AI is bloody quick!

Took around 98 minutes, so not even the longest race I've done in AC but a lot more intense.

AI is pretty good now.

Had a race at spa and ended up going three wide into Eau Rogue (sp??), we all came out unscathed......

The AI are great! I did two races at Spa with LMP 1, GT-E and GT-3. I did a 5 lapper in a 488 GT-3 and really enjoyed it with AI set 90% strength, 5 variable and 50% aggro and it gave me some good competition but 5 laps isn't long enough to have LMP 1's come through the field. So did a 10 lapper in a Toyota LMP 1 and it was great. The boost button was handy in traffic as I gave it a shot of juice where ever I needed to get by.

We need to have a run with LMP 1's and GT's at some point. Do a race long enough that the LMP's lap the field. None of this blue flag shit either, earn your overtakes.

That would be a good one off FNF event, and I think norbs should hold off on the idea until an appropriate track get's released.....

You mean Le Mans? Cause we got Nurburgring, Silverstone and Spa. These are WEC tracks. Monza, Paul Ricard would work as they test there.

Anyone recommend the best DLC packs to buy? Still have only the original base game as haven't played a lot. This new AI though is giving me some of the best racing I have had in years, so want more content!

Most of them are good. IF you only want one or two then go look at the car list and see what you like. The Porsche packs are good, Red pack and the latest is good.

But as Knappo said, all of them, if you can cause there's something fun to drive in every pack. Then you can join FNF and destroy them, with us :D

I really hope the vote goes to the older car. Modern F1 cars are rubbish IMHO.

They don't really scream Knappo but it's a pretty sweet sound. This is the V-12 detuned for sportscar racing but you get the idea. It's gorgeous!

It's not really detuned for Sportscar racing Doc as it is/was a Sportscar Engine.

You'd probably say they massaged it a bit for Formula 1 and without much success, too big/heavy and not enough prancing horses.

I voted for the 1970 512 but I wanted to vote for all the old cars. I don't have a vpn so one vote will have to do.

I voted for the 512M. I think any old Ferrari that can push 360 kph is worth having. But I can understand people wanting a new F1 car as they do seem a little bit mental. My hope is the votes bring us more of the other cars in time.

How could you not vote for it?
