Post by Duke »

C'mon you ARSE master skinners - Assetto corsa livery contest
Dear AC followers,

as you know, Kunos Simulazioni has always kept an eye on the modding community, many talents helped us to improve Assetto Corsa contents. Now it's time for liveries!

We are proud to introduce you the ASSETTO CORSA livery contest: submit us your liveries for the official cars available in the game: we'll award the best liveries making them as part of the official Assetto Corsa contents, and your name will be included in the credits of the game!

To join the contest, please consider the following rules:

- use official ASSETTO CORSA cars only
- use official ASSETTO CORSA tracks only (showrooms are allowed) as photoshooting location
- no mods allowed (custom clouds, custom post processing and so on)
- weapons, tobacco, alchool, explicit content, vulgarity and so on are NOT allowed
- real liveries and logos are allowed
- don't use external links, but post your screenshots in this thread (please, don't exceed 1080p resolution)
- user comments and off-topic posts will be immediately removed
- there's no deadline

By posting in the following thread, you accept that your livery can be added as official content in ASSETTO CORSA game and that your name will appear in the credits.

You might be contacted by KUNOS Simulazioni, in order to provide the original livery file through dropbox/ftp/mail.

Good luck!

If there's no deadline... like... infinite time to make a skin and submit it... does that mean it will never end up in game?

It's not really a contest by the sound of it. They just want people to make skins for them and they'll keep adding good ones to the game as they come in.

I reckon it's fantastic, motivates the community especially for skin creations & makes the creators feel great. Then it also lets KS focus on other more important stuff.
So a Win - Win as they say.

Just not sure how they get around the legal use of logos when they are included in a paid product...?

I assume most companies wouldn't care if the go through the appropriate application to use them. It's advertising after all.

That's exactly how I read it too :)

I don't mind them asking the community to get involved (works brilliantly for Valve) but it's a bit cheeky to call it a competition.
