Dude I worked for a couple of months ago had one and said he got offers all the time. James Morrison the trumpet player would ring him weekly asking if he was ready to sell, and he got a call from the US from George Shapiro telling him to name his price. He was trying to get it for Jerry Seinfeld. He said he'll never sell it though.

I watched a low k's 997 GT3 RS sit in a dealer for nearly two years locally - it had lost $120k before they finally sold it. Same year model now going on carsales for $150k over new 4 years later. Not a bad return for a modern car.
