F**k.
16 second lead heading into the 3rd stage, softened up the suspension and shortened the gearing and made it a little go-kart that just took off all the time, aside from when I got distracted and hit a barrier cos I wasn't looking.
95% done on the 3rd stage, into the icy section where I always lose control in the FWD cars and I hit a massive ice patch and fly off the damn road....

So apparently cars can be unrecoverable on top of a wall :( Stage 2, 2nd corner, rally over.

Hey Doc, look at the leaderboard, 6 stages 1/10th of a second.

Go muppet, go muppet!

Crap, I haven't set a time yet and I promised myself I would get some practice in for this one... Ahh well. Looks like I'm going in cold again when I get home from work tomorrow night. :drivingbanana:

Did you win a stage? If not...

No stage win, but I did beat you

I'm more giggling over what happened to Bails and GT. This was the only round so far that I haven't destroyed my car.

Oh I don't care that you beat me as I'm a bottom feeder but winning a stage is where it's at. So until you do it, I'm still better :rally:

Calling oneself a "bottom feeder" on a forum named like this and in front of this crowd is truly an act of bravery.

Or an act of stupidity but I leave that open for debate :D

The Shitboxes defied expectations with the racing being a damn load of fun, until they started killing people that is.
Now we move onto our next round, cos if there's something that McRae was known for moreso than a Subie at Sweet Lamb, it was flying into the undergrowth in a Ford Focus in Finland.

With two drivers failing to finish the Monte Carlo section it was down to the "backmarkers" to capitalize on their mistakes with E-Jay taking a win over Rono and Muppet taking a .2 second lead over Dr Pain for last. Now GT and Bails have 3 rounds to make the points back up before we wrap the series up at Germany.

The series is using the DiRT rally points format because it can.
1st- En-Jay 68
2nd- Rono 190 58
3rd-GT Virus 50
4th- Astr0 43
5th- Dr Pain 42
6th- Bails 40
7th- OzMuppet 30
8th- Ysu 20
9th- Dexter Punk 15

Had a nice gap going into the last 3 stages, then made some mistakes (had a rollover where I was sliding down the road on my roof). Only ended up in front of Dr Pain by just over a second in the end.

Worst part was that I turned left at a right hand hairpin on the last stage and thought it was all over (as I had only gone in with around a 2 second lead). But pushed hard to the end, so must have made some of that time back up (luckily).

I was 20 seconds faster on every stage, even with doing a stage on a blown tyre, getting a jump-start penalty and finish the rally with no radiator and because of a tire-change on the first stage when I slammed the car into a bridge, I lost 2 minutes and never got the time back.
Still, good fun.

How are you guys soo much faster? Is it stage knowledge, car setup, balls?

Absolute balls. which is why I also lost so much time due to crashing.
You have to assume where the road is going and just hope to god that you're right and 9 times out of 10, you are.

Sorry Dr Pain. I did have a bigger lead but lost it all after some costly mistakes.

Where was everyone else this week?

(edit) and I see GT snuck in just before the cut off :D

With Finland being run and done, we move onto a cool-down round before our BIG EVENT comes around.
So have some 70's and F2 fun in Wales, now here's the fun question, which car is faster?
Image

6 Stages
F2 and 1970's
https://www.dirtgame.com/uk/leagues/lea ... rse-champs

With GT drop-kicking a late-stage win in Finland to extend his lead over En-Jay who failed to run and given the fact that the servers were down half the week didn't help.
Dr Pain got kerb-stomped into 3rd outright by Astr0 while Bails continued to crash a lot and post somewhat decent times firmly cementing himself in the "window lickers with delusions of grandeur" category.
And Muppet was there too.

The series is using the DiRT rally points format because it can.
1st- GT Virus 75
2nd- En-Jay 68
3rd- Astr0 61
4th- Rono190 58
5th- Dr Pain 57
6th- Bails 52
7th- OzMuppet 40
8th- Ysu 20
9th- Dexter Punk 15

Oh wow, OUCH Bails, that was a real kick in the balls! Hurt feelings now!

I'll have you know I was in second place at one point, just 1 minute behind the Dr, until all you bastards decided to actually do a run

Was running slow for most of the event, was quick first stage and then too cautious for the rest, and the first long stage got the fantastic VR not going fullview bug, costing me heaps of time. Went into the last stage 16seconds down, and went all out attack to get bails. Managed to pip him by 2 seconds, but I should be easy pickings for the rest of you

Damnit...
And of course, I had a small off on the last stage and got a 3 second reset penalty cos I got stuck..

It's variable depending on how boned you are.
