[PC2] FNF 1st Dec. If nothing is planned...

Post by Dr. Pain »

So if Norbs or Box have nothing planned then I'll set up GTO's at Long Beach.

Thank you sir. I forgot to fire Steam up last night when playing BF1 but will do so tonight to clear that update.

I will talk to Box, but we can still do this combo. I just want to try and get my head around the online championship business. So it might end up being some practise runs than a race or 2 for points. :)

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a few rounds of GTO to get our heads around how it works.

I had a little play around with it tonight...
and I thought I might ask you chaps a few questions about... it...
I don't want to appear like an alarmist or anything... but... my question is...
Do we have to be Steam friends to use the invite online championship mode...

Yours sincerely,

Reading through the thread on the pcars forum it does look like whoever is setting up the host has to invite everyone, which sounds like we all have to be on the hosts friend list.

Also seems it works a little differently when running it on a dedicated server vs p2p.

http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showth ... ost1434262
it works on DS too, but you don't get an invitation by steam invitations like in a P2P session.
So you'll have to meet in TS or Discord, host starts the lobby by clicking join and then all invited participants can join just like in a normal online session.
The difference is, all people that are not in the participants list of the OC get diconnected by the server automatically.

Another little feature. If not all drivers are in the lobby, you should not klick on "ready". Different to a normal online session, as far as any participant klicks "ready", the session starts.
Bad, if its "race only"

Yeah, looks a bit painful. I have a half day today, so once I have sorted out the new pedals, I will take a look.

Yeah but if I accept Muppet as a friend then I'll keep getting that little box down the bottom right hand side of my screen...

Yeah but it's important for me to know when Santa is playing Rocket League (he plays it a lot!!). I'm grooming him and it's vital intel...

And in other news...
I'm ready to race Sugo!!
Hey... where'd everybody go... :sadbanana:
(file integrity check on Steam is a great thing, 6 dodgy files found, one must have been Sugo...) :banana_guitar:

That little Formula Ford car is great to drive.
