Is your team lacking their own server?

Post by EzyRider »

MPR have been a part of the AAL for a couple of years now, and in that time have proven our servers to be stable and lag-free for the most part. Since MPR took full control over the server machine recently, we've found that we are more than able to run several instances of LFS. Now while that's great, we really only need one for ourselves. So.. on with the show.

We are currently available to offer to one team the permanent use of a server of their very own. Whilst you won't have direct access to the server machine itself, you (and only you and or designated members of your team) will have full admin rights to it, as well as naming rights, ie; [Teamname] Race Server.

We can run any of the current server configs, up to W17 at the moment, and when X is released, can run that for you too. Price is set to $25 per month, payable monthly or yearly at your discretion.

Server is located in the datacentre on Wharf St, Brisbane, with a guaranteed 99.9% uptime.

For any information or queries, please contact either myself, Unforgiven, or SE1Z.

Yes. We had entertained allowing other games on there, but honestly we couldn't trust them to not lag the server up. The MPR server is quite often used in AAL races, therefore needs to be rock-stable at ALL times.

So yeah, short answer.. yes, it has to be an LFS server.

If AR were to buy into this, would we have FTP access to upload layouts?

Only need to share the layout directory, nothing more. :)
