Dual Monitor setup. Will LFS play on the secondary monitor?

Post by norbs »

I really dont want to play LFS on a 15" screen. Can I get it to run on the secondary monitor at all?

There is another (free) option called SoftTH but you need a lot of grunt to make it run fast.
Check it out here: http://www.kegetys.net/SoftTH/
Using it to run on 2 monitors is discussed here: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=24866
Also do a search on the LFS Forum for SoftTH or LFS on 2/3 monitors.
Although all SoftTH does is extend your FOV as the primary monitor will still be the main driving view, so it may not do what you want but I am not sure there is anything else that can either.

What ysu said. Change the primary monitor to the other one, then run LFS.

One small problem with that. Im running it on a MAC using bootcamp. It wont let me do that. I have sorted it out though. i just run 1 monitor, the big one. LFS looks great. Slows down alot though with 20 AI. I hope thats not an indication of what online play will be like.

I have LFS running on my secondary monitor. It's really easy to change between the two.

There's an option in the LFS options where you can pick the adapter to run LFS on (I think it's in the same screen as z-buffer). One of them will have "secondary" written next to it, click on it and restart LFS.

the AI is CPU intensive, so it will probably not slow down so much online :)
