Sydney Motorshow Pics

Post by Vilante »

Not many here as I went with some people that really weren't interested so I didn't get to stay anywhere near as long as I would have liked. Barely saw half the show

You gotta hate the back of the new Lancer. I was really looking forward to it, but now i've noticed how ugly the rear of that lancer is. If you notice, i think Mitsubishi know it as well as all their pictures of it are either from the side of the front. None really are shown from the back. Similarly, the 380 has an ugly rear too =[

I agree, the back end of most those things are pretty ugly, yet the front (exclude pile of poo WRX) look decent.

The HSV ute rear end looks pretty nasty, what's with those tail lights?

In real life I reckon the Lancer looks alright. I've got a few ready for sale before public release. From directly behind, as one of the salesman in the yard said, looks kind of like the BadBoy logo/pics.

The EVO looks WAY to undershod for its body, looks like a biggest loser in toddlers thongs.

the sales staff at Lambo are about what I'd expected... she has the ultimate sales pitch... "if you buy this lambo... you get me free :) "

they go through a few staff :)

Yeah it looked hot IRL, the in-fills behind the B-piller made it looks so chunky :)

Went along last night myself.

BMW CS Concept was the show stealer for me. Vil's pic doesn't do it justice but the paint finish is un-freakin-believable, and it has some of the most elegant lines I have ever seen on a BMW.

Audi look like they have finally stepped up in the design stakes too. The new S5 was very impressive looking (camera SNAFU, no pics sorry).

I had a discussion about this at one of the pubs in Bathurst with a few mates as there was one of the new ute's parked out the front and not many people who were standing around it actually liked the new tail lights.
And this ute only had the wrap around part on the read quarter panel, where as the HSV one has gone one step worse and made them venture onto the tail gate.

They just look plain wrong

I thought it looked good in the flesh, even trying not to be a Holden fan for a minute.

Maybe I'm more one eyed than I though?

Those tail lights are ugly. No doubt about it. I'm not in the least bit suprised that I'm not the only one thinking so.

Love the Verde Ithaca Gallardo Spyder... I don't think there's any other modern Lambos in green in Australia.
