Fresh victims for the ever growing army of the undead..

Post by burito »

Hey all I'm a newbie thought I'd pop in and say Hi.
A few of you probably saw me on the OzBee-R server, hopefully I didn't hit too many of you :-)
Got my S2 a few days ago, and FINALLY saw some people on the aussie servers. On the 3rd race, I managed to complete the 5 laps without being lapped! I'm heaps proud!

Ok so I'm pretty shit at the moment, but at least I think I have the "spin out, so slap it into reverse and try to drive into the wall" thing so I don't disrupt the race too much.

My best lap was about 12 seconds behind the leaders best lap, so I've got a while to go, but for first shot, I think I at least show promise of being an amusing obstacle for you all to avoid.

Good race folks, and I'll be seeing you tomorrow night!

Phoar, wasn't expecting this kind of reaction, cheers for making me feel welcome.

Astro: Need moar Rally Trophy, I can sort of handle the stratos now :-)

Gougoodthing: Used to live in the hills 'till like a fortnight ago, but now I'm 10 minutes west of the CBD, in a bus. And combined with my lappy, LFS lan in the pub, name the time and place.

Quincy: Aussie leagues? wtf? I'm still trying to get my times up to speed before I think about that! Maybe when I can err... keep up with anyone... I'll poke around them.

G'day Burito.

Don't hesitate to jump into the leagues mate, most of the leagues are sorted into divisions based on lap times so typically you will be racing folks of similar speed or a bit better.

Yeah man just jump into the leagues, you'll find most folks are more than willing to lend a hand and you will find yourself get better much quicker when you have something to aim for. Not only that, it's much more fun to race with a server full of cars ^_^

Hello you tasty treat you! :D

I'll echo what the other guys have said, dont feel intimidated by league racing!
It's the best and most fun way to learn/race any race sim.

Check out the AAL forum for details on the Rally Cross race we have coming up. It is a fun race and would be a great/easy introduction for you.
