GT4 Photomode

What is photomode? Is it like a studio type thing to take a nice pic of your car? Or does the game really look that good while playing it, cos it's terrific looking if they are like in game screenies. I'm so tempted to get a PS2.

photomode on gt4 has 2 kinda parts. one mode is you can grab a car and put it in a scene and render it.. if you saw the panda toyota sprinter in the night city scene, that's an example of this mode. also the pics in my first post i think.

the other photomode part is just like pausing during a replay and taking a pic. so it is using the ingame car/track scene, after you select the angle you wanna shoot it from it renders it up in 1280x1024 with the lens effects on it.

so of course the higher res and motion blur etc makes them look a little better, but the actual game's appearance is very close. just running in 640x480 without Anti aliasing

That does it, i'm buying a PS2 (again) and GT4... was going to try and resist it but after having a go at the shops today and seeing these shots I just don't think I have the strength...

its a photoshop. it's the default camera location for the first photo travel scene. load it up with 1 car... snap, change cars and load it up again, position the other car.. snap

just have to copy the rx7 in and then trim it off where it went in behind the trueno.

cuz the camera locations are exactly the same it is seamless.

yeah concept cars suck arse, and they are worth nothing... they are so worthless even in GT4 that you have to give them away!!

Damn that F1 thing looks bloody horrible. Very low poly and just wrong. The modders for F1C do a much better job. The other cars look pretty swish though. If the next gen graphics look like that in game then things will be rockin.
