I've often sat there thinking about the prices of cars - most of the people I chat online with are Aussie, US, or UK, and so I generally know pretty well the price of cars in each region. But I wanted to know more, so I went through a bunch of the worldwide Porsche 997 GT2 pages to check out prices from around the world. Real eye-opening stuff!

As far as the whacked out Denmark price goes, that is legitimate!
I've been googling and it seems Danes get taxed 180% of the car price to put a license plate on it!!!
Just google Denmark car taxes to look stuff up yourself and be amazed!

Singapore is terrible too. They do that to try and reduce the number of cars on the road. It also made cars into even more of a status symbol there. I used to do a lot of business travel there and one hotel I stayed at had a big circular driveway. There was a wedding reception on and the cars were parked by the valet's on display: Porsche GT3, Ferrari, Porsche 911, Lotus, Ferrari, Porsche, Porsche, Merc, etc etc. I don't know what they cost, but a Camry was $60K at the time. I think I saw an add for a Lotus Elise around $300K new.
