Monitor turning off.

Heya lads.

I've had the demo of rFactor for a while, but recently purchased the full version key.

My problem is that when i start up rFactor, within a minute my monitor switches off. My computer is still running, but the monitor does not respond. It only does this for rfactor, and all of my other games and programs run fine.

My virus protection is up to date.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled the game.
I've tried various display settings.
I've tried other monitors.
All the cables are fine.
Ive defragged.
My drivers are all current.

Why is this happening? Its really giving me the shits, and it seems like i'm doomed to never play the game and may have wasted my money.

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.
