More info:
Before the oval race, there will be a demo run with me and a few others showing the correct technique of bump drafting and what to do in hard scenarios. Those who aren't familiar, please watch and learn.
At the end of the 25 lap segment, pull into pitlane in single file in the same positions as of lap 25 and make adjustments in your pit box. Each car will be called to the end of pitlane in order as of lap 25 after adjustments have been made. Standard restart procedure applies.
There will be a safety car. Restarts will be single file after the final 10 lap threshold is past, all restarts up until then are double file. The rolling start will be double file as well. During safety car periods and the start, slow to 120kmh. Safety car periods may also be called to give drivers an opportunity to pit.
Qual will be a 20 minute open session. Drivers not on flying laps please move out of the way of drivers on flyers.
No warp to pits unless too much damage, run out of fuel, etc. If many cars are involved in an accident, there will be a red flag period which cars shall pull into pitlane in single file running order. The standard restart procedure applies.

I'm too poor to afford iRacing and rFactor is too complicated for my small mind.

Re: Hansonator's 2 race GTR series
I'm hearing ya Wabb, I have been away from racing LFS now for close to 7 months and I ain't missing the sim at all.
What is even more surprising is that I am hooked once again on Flight Simulator and their forums are continually buzzing even after M$ have pulled the pin on the franchise (for now). I guess it goes to show that 3rd party development can keep something ticking along long after the developers loose interest or find other things to occupy their time. Long live LFS but unless things change I doubt it will....yes sad indeed.
Sorry for the OT post Hans, hope your race is a success...

At least with flight sims, you know the community made mods are quality. The same can't be said for racing simsFlinty72 wrote: I guess it goes to show that 3rd party development can keep something ticking along long after the developers loose interest or find other things to occupy their time

Re: Hansonator's 2 race GTR series
Hi everybody! I'm fairly new to LFS & just looking for somewhere organised & decent to race right now. I'm in for the series if there's no objections, & hopefully my wheel will turn up by then, still using mouse atm...
one suggestion, why don't we do the Kyoto Ring in reverse? That way we could keep the cars the same. Not bothered either way, just throwing it out there

Your best shot at an aussie series would be at Monday Night Racing
The old AAL would be on whats would best describe it as a long term hiatus

I'm gonna call the series off because there aren't enough people to race with.

Some might say it died a long time ago...
In my opinion, it's not dead. But it is on life-support.

I know about 50 blokes every Monday who would beg to differ. . .
Alive and kicking, even with life-support removed.

I still have another 5 or so months on my iRacing sub, and it'll sit there and probably do absolutely nothing

Re: Hansonator's 2 race GTR series
And i was happy to give it at the time. I have nothing against iRacing, its a great Sim. But i want a sim to work around me, if it want to log on and race i should be able too. Not having to sit there for 30-40 minutes waiting for the next racepab wrote:iRacing thanks you for your kind and generous donation.
Doesn't matter that much anymore though, i play alot more FPS'ers and WoW than racing sims these days
