Nice look without the spoiler. My mate had a GTO a few years back with yellow leather. It wasn't as bad as I first thought it would be.

Thinking of getting something like this soon. Finally nailed it down to a V8 Commodore of some sort but now I look and see that an SS, Calais and Monaro can all be had for roughly the same money just of varying ages, kays etc so another choice to make!

Re: My Newish Car
well when i got it tuned the bloke said to me the diff is on the way out and it would only last according to how i drive it, it lasted 3 1/2 months, circle work doesn't really help but it was fun at the time
Jiminee they are an awesome cars thats for sure, i had the choice of this black SS or a silver VY Calais, both same price, calais was decked out with options inc sunroof and sat nav but had 40k more on the clock, i prefer the sportier look of the SS so that swayed my choice, a sunroof would be nice though!

I'm just a bit worried about the body kit on the roads around here but I think it will be a case of finding the best car around at the time and going with it.
Good luck getting yours back on the road.

Re: My Newish Car
If you're not too concerned about auto vs manual, I really like the Calais. The last VY/VZ ones were pretty nice really.

Manuals are great. But i much prefer the ease, and laziness of an auto.

Re: My Newish Car
Yeah it will be an auto, I think you would be narrowing your selection of possible cars if you were to only go for a manual.
So is a trip to the 1/8th mile not a good idea following your experience Shaun? lol
