iPhone questions

Post by DexterPunk »

I can't seem to find the old thread....

Anyway.... What's the deal with my iPhone telling me I can't Dow load a video file off abc... Podcast type thing. It's telling me to use wifi... Um no... I want to use the data I paid to use. I understand why they do it... But surely a warning is enough, and the user can make the choice... I know how much data I have used and a 30mb download is not gunna go over my limit.

Podcasts etc are limited to 10mb max download on 3G. I think it stems from AT&T in America having too much say in the iPhone's restrictions.

Jailbreak and install "3G Unrestrictor" is the only way to get around it. This app tricks the phone into thinking it's on WiFi all the time, which means you can Skype, Voip, Youtube in HQ and download things bigger than 10mb whenever you are on 3G.

I reckon I'm very close to jailbreaking... I guess I don't really know enough about it yet still.
