Mine comes up in "My Computer".

Maybe you need to enable it somewhere? Ask Steve nicely?

yes they are different Nutty. Apple doesnt want you (for what ever reason) to use it as a removable storage device.

two biggest cons to the iPhone for me, is no removable storage, and no blutooth file transfer.

The iphone comes up in Windows, but it's just the "imaging" section and is read-only. If you want full access you need another program (such as this)

norbs I use the app "GoodReader" to do this, I guess the downside is it only transfers files over a wireless connection.
But it will also view & play most file types within the device once stored.
I think it was mentioned somewhere else of the forum the other day.

It seems to be working fine on OS X. I was more curious about what Pix said. My iPhone doesnt show up in Explorer or Finder (OS X) by default.

If you need to access the imaging section of your iphone without any external software, open "image capture", and you can download them that way if needed.

The photos are a piece of piss to get off the phone, I was more thinking about using it to carry files to and from work.

Tried this? Not quite as good as USB mass storage but better than nothing.

try standing it upside down, smack it with a small paddle and make it say "you are my daddy"!

pretty silly that you can use an ipod for this but not the iphone.
