What do you need to know to make iPhone apps?

I was just idly wondering what tech you need to know in order to make apps for the iPhone/iPad.

Do you have to know C++ or php or something like that or can you make then with WYSIWYG applications?

Yeah Objective-C, join the Dev program, a Intel Mac (atleast OS X 10.5.5) and a test device (iPod Touch/iPhone)

Mmm interesting. Didn't the SDK used to cost $100? Seems to be free now. Might have a play with that.
