Problem with Viewfinder

Post by Vilante »

Lads :)

I have a second hand 30d and I can't see the proper focus through the viewfinder. The pics look blury no matter where I have the little dial next to the eye piece. Wound all the way clockwise it's super blury, the other way it gets better but never sharp. With AF on the pics are perfect though.

Any ideas? Don't really want to take it to the repairman if I can help it :)

Cheers

If the diopter doesn't correct it, then I think you may need to get it looked at. Are the focus points sharp? the actual black/red boxes? and the ISO, aperture, and shutter numbers? focus screen could be loose.

Theres a lot of very bright guys here, so someone may come up with an idea, but it doesn't sound like an easy fix to me.

Had some luck, I took it back to the same guy that replaced the shutter and he thought he might have done something to it so he fixed it under warranty. 100% again :)
