still didn't work. Perhaps because mine is an older 3G rather than the 3Gs.

ah ok, didn't realise you had the 3G. Apparently you need to use either redsn0w or sn0wbreeze.

Re: iOS4 jailbroken
Hey w00dsy, I have a quick question. I installed that flash player business which works and all. But I now can not view vids on the forums etc. It used to just open in QuickTime. Now it thinks all the vids posted are flash and won't work. Any way to fix this? Or just turn off that flash plugin if needs be?

Re: iOS4 jailbroken
yeah i had the same problem, i use SBSettings and just flick it off when i need to. But it's a fairly buggy old flash player.

Re: iOS4 jailbroken
i think it's in Cydia, then once installed you wipe your finger across the top of the screen and something like this pops down. It's just a quick menu for enabling and disabling stuff.

Re: iOS4 jailbroken
It is easily the best thing about jailbreaking.
I think I mentioned it a while back. viewtopic.php?f=81&t=14471#p255274" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: iOS4 jailbroken
just did it
Tried 5 times without success on my Win7 64bit desktop. Worked first go on my 32 bit Vista machine. Keep that in mind if it doesnt work. May not be something you are doing wrong
now all i gotta do is figure out why I did it

yeah i did it, same thing it took me a few goes to get it right, it doesn't give you much time to read the instructions before it's off and away. I actually found Facely on Installous that is a nicer version of the Facebook app.

iOS4 jailbroken
No thanks. Plenty of android devices at work that crash. Also they just don't have the wonderful simplicity of an iOS device. Each to his own, but your basically baiting posting that in an iOS thread anyway.

Yeah I know... im sorry..
just funny to see the lengths you blokes go to get flash running.. i dont install it on my android cause it blows chunks.. I see one of the key advantages of iOS is that it doesn't have flash

no flash for me, the main reason i jailbreak to for SBSettings. I did try flash but it was crap and i realised there's hardly any need for it these days anyway. Certainly not on my phone anyway.
