thanks Neil.

I used a pack called Holi Texture pack in the interim. Had a terrific sun and moon.

I updated to 1.6.6 last night. Had to remove the folders and get it to redownload. Are you going to update the pack to work? or does it already? or is it becoming a PITA to keep updating?

Neil, with all due respect the ore veins' textures in this latest are horrible. I've simply replaced them with the previous. You cannot clearly see them. The diamond you can barely distinguish from the gray rock!
Yeah, the previous was perfect IMHO.

well, that's the natural colour in the nature...the very reason we've red sand in the center, high iron-oxide content.
But I still don't like it, hehe.

by the way the flat bed was mentioned by someone as well. Is that a texture based problem at all?

After trying a bunch of packs I couldn't find any that I was happy with so I've been putting my own together as well. It's mostly soartex with some doku, painterly, pure bd and the water from Neils pack. Might steal his bed as well :)

It's less complete than Neils pack though.

Here's the soartex thread which will give you the main idea of what it looks like

Yeah, it's got a nice clean look without being too detailed, too simple or too pixelated. Doesn't have much beyond the terrain and inventory backgrounds though.

The animations for water and lava aren't working right. Water looks a bit flickery and lava is like tripping on acid.

They were the only issues I saw, but I only had a quick look.
