Updates to Garmin connect
bit of a heads up that garmin connect has been updated to include creation of courses and workouts which you can upload to your garmin device.. I think they'd previously had this feature but pulled it after a day or so due to bugs.. hopefully it hangs around a bit longer this time!

I am still coming to grips with the Edge 800. I dont really understand the concept of courses and workouts yet. And the virtual partner seems to be a gimmik to me.

Re: Updates to Garmin connect
Workouts are great if your into seriously creating tailored ones. I use them all the time for my Velo sessions & intervals.
Courses I use every now & again if I am heading somewhere that I haven't ridden befor (incl new Races courses) & I just want it to show the path on the map. You can add waypoints etc but that all gets a bit too much for me then.
Virtual Partner is a bit of a gimmick altough I think TT specialists may find it a good feature, especially in track pursuit events... I've never used it personally given the variation of the elements when riding outside all the time.
