Forgot to vote for about the 3rd council election in a row
It'd be nice to live in an electorate where it mattered.

That's awesome news. Hope she continues I guess it'd be too much to ask for her critics to STFU now?
We (adelaide) have a bike friendly Lord Mayor, and we're starting to see some excellent changes to make parts of the cbd more people friendly. As usual, there's been a fair bit of push back, but we can only hope that he continues his quest, much like Clover.

We had the same here, the previous State Premier was a very enthusiast recreational cyclist so consequently funded a lot of bike network improvements. Whereas the new bloke isn't, so he cut the Vic bike budget to $0, yep, zero, zilch & nutter... farken tosser

This is a good outcome - i think she's doing some great things for the CBD, and cyclist numbers have increased substantially in the city. More power to her; and suck it up, Alan!

QLD'er here.avro707c wrote:Any Queenslanders here? If so, by the opinions I've seen - you should have a whole lot of new residents in your state, all Anti-Cycling. They can't stand Clover Moore's cycling lanes and paths, the paths and lanes have "destroyed" their lives so much that they've had to move to a different state. Please accept them with our compliments!
Personally i have nothing against the 95% of cyclists that do the right thing.
It's the 5% of the wankers that give them all a bad name. Just last week there was a group of 6 riders all in the flash looking gear and flash looking bikes, riding 4 abreast and swerving as if they were either drunk or had not ridden a bike in years.

why would a mere 6 cyclists give "them" all a bad name? presumably you also judge motorists as a whole by the actions of one or two members?r8response wrote:

It's too bad building bike paths isn't all there is to looking after a city.
