777, publisher of Rise of Flight, will work with 1c in developing their latest sim, IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad. Following the debacle of IL2 - Cliffs of Dover (which is now pretty good), this is a safe pair of hands.
As I understand it, the sim will be built using RoF's engine, not CLOD's. Note sure if there's scope to finish CLOD as part of this deal, but I suspect not.
