Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

Post by Leweegibo »

Wasnt sure about this, having already grabbed War of the Roses, but they seemed different enough to try both.
Got it this morning and ran through the training missions, have to say some of the dialogue was pretty damn funny!
Can see it being a fair challenge against real players, seems a bit more skill based than WotR

And some pics i took in training:

hahah something like that, Medieval FPS indeed, but i'd put War of the Roses in the COD stable before this, with its damage points, revives and squad spawn.

This needs a bit more finesse, by blocking, faking, dodging parrying and all that. Getting pretty smashed by others, but many have been playing this since it was a mod (Age of Chivalry) and have also spent plenty of hours in the beta. Although me and a mate just had some real fun going fisticuffs against knights and doing pretty well!

Not bad for ~$24 with the exchange rate, or $18 if u can get a 4 pack together (Damn Pain, shoulda asked ya!)

Here are 2 more vids that encouraged my purchase:

To me its not quite as good as those vids make out, a lot of spamming, but if you put the effort in can deal with them pretty quick, be one of those games that gets better as the nuffy players lose interest, see RO2
