F22 at the Australian International Airshow

Post by J.D. »

Here's what it says on the Australian International Airshow Facebook page:
Great news! The United States Air Force has just confirmed that its top-of-the-line fighter, the F-22 Raptor will return to Avalon for the first flying display ever seen in Australia.

Two F-22 Raptors and their teams will be attending the 2013 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition, with one of the aircraft on static display.

Major Henry 'Schadow' Schantz is the United States Air Force F-22 Raptor Aerial Demonstration Team Chief and will be showcasing the aircrafts amazing manoeuvrability for the Airshow crowds.

The United States Air Force is once again showing its long standing support for the Avalon event and is also bringing an F-16 demonstration team for flying display along with a C-17 demonstration team.

Take-off to Avalon and see the F-22 Raptor fly at the 2013 Australian International Airshow!
Maybe I'll now get the shots I missed out on last year.

Public days are 1-3 of March.

I'm not working there this year. Dance card is too full.

Here's another bonus at the Australian International Airshow: the UK Breitling Wing Walkers, Danielle Hughes and Freya Paterson, every bit as nice as they look:

This may be of some interest to those in Victoria. All part of the lead up to the Airshow and recognise this month's 10th anniversary of continuous deployment of Australian Hercules to the Middle East Area of Operations.
