The Last of Us
So not sure if we have a thread about this game or not, the forum says the words are to common and wont search for it. :\
anyway, anyone playing it? I grabbed it yesterday and my mind is blown. i knew it was going to be good but its just even better than I imagined.
Im stuck on this part where i have to face a few infected. not much ammo so its challenging.
Oh and we finally have a R rating. when did that come in??

Re: The Last of Us
I've been very tempted to get it after the reviews it has received. It looks fantastic.

Re: The Last of Us
Came here to start a thread if nobody had by now.
Holy god this game is good. Has me on the edge of my seat practically the whole time im playing. The clickers are some freaky bastards!. I tend to suck at these kinds of games (can't shoot for shit) but that doesnt seem to matter too much in this game since its most of the time more rewarding to stealth it and grab them from behind to choke or shiv them. Ammo and supplies are very, very limited.. You really need to explore every area and scavenge every item you possibly can.
The reviewer on IGN said it took him 17 hours to complete the game. I know somebody who sat down for 14 hours straight and beat it though. So it's not too short of a game in my opinion despite what ive heard alot of people say.
If you are on the fence about this game. Get off the fence and grab it. After the first 20 minutes of playing you wont regret it!

Re: The Last of Us
I really want it, the only thing stopping me is time... Seems like one of those games you need to devote a fair amount of time to!
Especially after hearing how long the campaign is.

Yep. This is going to take me months to finish. I dont get a whole bunch of time to play games these days. I just couldnt pass it up. The story line is similar to that of the movies 28 days later and 28 weeks later which im a big fan of.

Really want this but with 4 month old twins and a 2.5 year old im short on time. Think ill grab it for the few hours I do have at the end of a day (9ish thru to bed time) when the family nods off and get some use out of my 55" Samsung TV that I got recently.

Re: The Last of Us
Got it yesterday but only put an hour or two in.
It really is amazing. The cinematics to gameplay transitions are so smooth and I've been on the edge of my seat, it is intense. Timmy is right too about the gameplay, your resources are so finite that you really have to plan your every move.
Worth getting it.

Damn.....I was hoping this wasn't as good as everyone says it is because I don't want to buy a PS3 just to play it.

Re: The Last of Us
Funnily enough, my girlfriend ripped into my brother and I for moving the PS3 back into the living room from my room so we both could play The Last of Us so now she can't play her games.

Re: The Last of Us
My brother-in-law let me borrow his PS3 to play this. Amazing game, and probably the most believable characters I've seen in a video game. Great voice acting.
My missus wouldn't let me play unless she was home to keep up with the story too haha

My missus has been following the story too, she gets scared pretty freakin easy though and can only handle it in small doses.
But... Dog ate my ps3 today.. so that's the end of that...lol

Dog ate the ps3, decided it'd be fun, was in another room, power tripped out, went outside to check the meter to see the safety switch had been triggered, went investigations to find the ps3 very deformed and all chords chewed lol
