New TV - Big Screen or smarts?

I couldn't resist... 64" Samsung arrived today! It is.... big. haha.

I'll ask at work. I'm not really up to speed on receivers. I love my Yamaha as a sub $500, but I know JB stopped dealing with them.

Double post. Don't think I've done one of those since about 2005.

They agree at work... If you can find a Yamaha at JB still, I'd have a close look at those. Otherwise new range is due to come through this month. You could hold off and see what comes out. But you usually pay a premium for the new models.

Cheers, dex. Harvey Norman have a Yamaha on special but it's the base model... Not sure how good it is but probably suitable for my needs

$2000 for 60" st60? Myer had 20% off the other day which meant that TV was about 1860. You should be able to haggle down close to that mark

Know the buy price at JB Dex? Its for my friend whos insurance gave him JB voucher for his last one that got nicked
