Anyone dabbled with this idea of making their own Old School ARCADE / MAME Cabinet.
To begin with my aim is to build one to run the classic (80's) games like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Galaga, Frogger, 1942, Moon Patrol etc.
I've started researching but to be honest there is a lot if info that is wide & varied so it's still daunting at the moment.
I have an old PIV that I would use but things like arcade controls, interfaces & what type of monitor is causing me concerns along with the overall cost & time to build.
So anyone got any tips, tricks, how-to's, guides & pitfalls of such a project?

OCAU has an entire section dedicated to this sort of thing. A number of build threads with a lot of in depth information.

Holy Cow I remember playing the cockpit version of this for hours at our local show when I just started secondary school.
I made it to number 1 on the leaderboard & from memory clocked it
Was the only time I ever saw that machine too.
There is a whole thread on OCAU of a guy why restored one that required him to build the cabinet.
