Oh No! Lou Reed is dead! I remember first hearing Transformer when I was a kid. An influential career.

Re: Velvet. Underground
Spotify is cranking him out right now.
He isn't someone that is high on my miniscule musical list of faves, but I respect he was a hell of a musician.

I'm amazed any of those old rockers can make it to 71. How the hell Keith Richards and Ozzy Osbourne are alive is beyond me.

Keith made Private Eye's list of "The Ten People Most Likely to Die in the Next Year" for 10 years running.
I thought he was off after he fell out of a tree a few years ago.
Shame about Lou Reed. They don't come much more influential that him. As someone (Bowie?) said, the original Velvet Underground album only sold about !0,000 copies but everyone who bought it formed a band.

My personal fave and probably only fave of Lou Reed's is Perfect Day , such a sweet yet poignantly bitter song well thats how my ears hear it.

Lou is a huge loss. Velvet Underground and then Transformer were huge albums. Thanks Lou :-(
