Of course he could of, even more so given he's not part of the peloton. There is nothing LA could've done to really hurt Mark anyway.

At the very least Mark could have said LA is someone who I now question his integrity & trust after being stood up & embarrassed. He would not have even needed to bring up anything to do with the doping as he had no proof anyway. But the inference would have been pretty damning to LA I reckon.

But I guess that would have looked petty but I think that's how this article has come across now after all has been revealed. So why even write it in a way to take higher morale ground is why I'm questioning Mark's motive.

Maybe but I for one didn't even know Mark was that involved or connected to LA. Maybe I missed something but I also reckon it also holds true of many of the general public...

I was aware that he was a big fan (i remember his saying in an interview that LA was a great influence) and it's well known that Mark is an avid cyclist. He's probably still hurt that he stood him up!

Webber has spoken quite highly of Lance in the past, he is a cycling nut so Armstrong was at the top of his list of sporting heros. I guess he learnt what everyone else did that crossed paths with him and now it's all out in the open he's more comfortable talking about it.
