People's Choice Classic.
Brand new circuit for this race, including a pretty cool pontoon on the river to hold the presentations. The group stayed together, and were lightning quick.

Stage 01:
Positioned ourselves initially at the sprint point at Bethany, we moved up the hill, just prior to the start of Menglers Hill for the 2nd and 3rd laps. Apparently the average speed up Menglers Hill was 27km/h..

Santos Cup - Round 03
Hotdog Circuit in Prospect, site of TDU stage start the following morning. Massive field, with A and B grades. Really good support from the crowds too!

Stage 2
Headed to the start at Prospect since it was close by and wandered around checking out all the bikes and the riders getting ready to start. Later on we made a mad dash to try to get to the KOM #1, but after being held up in traffic, we bailed on that idea and went to our backup plan and walked up Range Road to wait for the riders.

Stage 3
We'd picked out a spot that meant that the riders would come by, but in two different directions. On initial inspection, the area looked pretty bland so we found a much nicer spot. A bit of a walk between loops meant that I ended up taking shots from three slightly different locations. In the evening we headed into the tour village and I watched a few of the team mechanics at work. One mechanic was double wrapping a handlebar.. not sure if that says something about the state of Adelaide roads or not!

Stage 5
First for me.. I actually got out to the Willunga stage! I didn't brave the crazyiness of Willunga Hill but rather spent the day amongst friends who put on a roadside bbq just outside McLaren Vale, while we gathered around the TV when they were out of viewing distance. Unfortunately I don't think the location was really conducive to taking decent shots (long straight roads, fast riders.. ) .. never mind.. I got a few that I was happy with..

Stage 6
PACC put on their awesome OzzyCross on the edge of the Stage course, so once our CX racing was finished we could wander over to the PACC tent, located up against the barriers 150m from the finish line to enjoy a cold beer.. and then i went wander around to take a few shots. I think I had a lot more luck today, ad got a bunch more shots that I was happy with..
