Would be well north of $100k landed and complied here! Although it's depressing to see how much it would cost living in the US...

I'd get myself one of these to use at club races instead of my Corolla:

And a nice coffin, because I'd be sure to leave a crater on some of the tracks I normally race on!

Heh narr. I was thinking it's not enough to retire on for example and the other part is if it just somehow landed in my lap, sure it would be fun to spend it but then I thought $100K off my mortgage would be far more beneficial to me overall.

*edit* Oh right, I didn't notice the section either. Still it's what I'd do, even if I was meant to spend it on a car.

You can already order them in Australia. Base model with no options will just sneak in under $100k. Stunning cars. Would love one as a daily.

I've seen one in Melbourne the last few days driving around. It was right hand drive too. The guy in the passage seat had a Tesla jacket on and the driver was an older guy in a suit, it looked like a test drive. So hopefully they'll be here soon.

They're running test drives in Melbourne and Sydney. You can book in to take one for a spin. There were heaps in Canada when I was there last year.

We need more Tesla stations here. I saw a map at one point of the US, they plan to roll them out all over the country.

I still think combustion engines will have their place. Eventually as a weekend enthusiast thing. I'd love a good electric solution for every day A to B stuff.

Yep, in the US you can already go from coast to coast with free recharge stations.
