Star Wars - Battlefront

Post by DexterPunk »

Since I have most of you guys on steam and not Origin, I'm not sure how many of you have bought this. If you do play it though, feel free to add me on Origin - MrDexterPunk

Good fun.

Weird issue with the PC version, if you aren't getting Aussie servers change your DNS to the Google one

I got it on PS4. Having a great time with it. It has to be the best looking shooter of all time doesn't it?

I'll most likely grab it on PC later too, for times when I don't feel like twiddling my thumbs.

It's insanely pretty, yeah. And runs so well. I don't have the highest end gfx card and still running fine on Ultra @ 2560x1440.

Is it mostly multiplayer?

I'm going to treat myself to a PS4 in January.

Yeah, not much in the way of single player stuff. BUT there is a split screen two player mode on PS4, which is a bit of fun. It runs at 30fps instead of 60, but I had a mate over last night and we had a great time with the co-op missions.

Tried the betas and the graphics are great but the gameplay didn't grab me. Lack of a server browser/dedicated server is a pretty big strike against it as well.

Yeah there's a few things I wish they'd change. Being able to manually select servers is one of them. Overall though it's more fun to me than the worn out WWII and modern warfare themes.

No browser is a big turnoff . Is it peer to peer?

There are dedicated servers. You're just throw onto one via Dice's "Skill Based Matchmaking"
