AC gets picked on for its sounds but apart from a couple of cars I think they're pretty decent, well pass acceptable.

Pcars has the poorest sound of the current crop in my view. Some
are absolutely terrible.

R3E and dirt rally show how it should be done!

Sector3 Studios have deployed a new update for their RaceRoom Racing Experience Simulator.

This update included the new physics model for a selection of cars, new store logic, and a list of new features requested by the R3E community. As usual, the update also features some bug fixes and improvements. For full details check out the changelog.

Due to car physics changes, it is advised to reset Car Setups and Steering Settings to their default values. Due to the downshift prevention implementation Sector3 had to clear all the leaderboards.

Changelog:
Game:
Added new content that will be released very soon.
Downshift prevention logic implemented. Sequential gearbox will refuse to downshift if revs are going to end up above the limiter. H-Pattern gearbox will try and engage the gear and fail until revs are lower.
Tyres of the DTM 2015 cars will pick up Dirt & Gravel when driving off-track, reducing grip on the affected tyres until they’re clean again. Game will play a sound effect of pebbles hitting the car body that will reduce as tyres become clean again.
Added new things in Shared Memory block. Check our forum for details and link to updated github rep.
Removed exclusivity of certain Experiences. All content is now accessible and usable in the main R3E.
Added a new argument “-disableReplay” that can be added in Launch options on steam to disable replay recording.
Fixed an issue where you start in the wrong car when number of cars is more than the visible cars set in options.
Fixed an issue with not being able to select each car when number of cars is more than the visible cars set in options.
Improved random grid position so it’s now really random.
Implemented a new shadow system that improves performance and visuals.
Fixed an issue with time left where it was returning the session duration if the session hadn’t started yet.
Fixed an issue with drivetrain wobbling out of control when in Novice or when TC is 100%
Fixed so the shifts without the clutch in semiautomatic transmissions are damage free.
Fixed an issue in audio where the coast backfire sound wasn’t stopping in some cases.
Fixed an issue with cars behaving jerky in novice mode by smoothening the brake and throttle changes when brake assist is applied.
Fixed an issue with the TV cameras where you could see a couple of seconds of a wrong one.when switching to TV Cam.
Allowed use of handbrake regardless of track being hillclimb or not
Various HUD tweaks on areas where text would often not fit the given frame/field.
Optimized motion blur
Made changes how frequency and damping are affected by gear ratios, to increase oscillation effect in higher gears
Removed oscillation from differential distribution on driven wheels, to normalize torque output a bit
Added an option to load opponent cockpits (Video/Custom Settings)
Reverted a drivetrain tweak that was done to differential torque
Fixed an issue where the order on the left hand side of position bar was reversed.
Fixed an issue where the shortened names were being used despite having enough space for it in the position bar.
Tweaked G25 & G27 FFB values in default profiles.
Fixed DRS animation not working after rewinding in replays.
Fixed game video playback issues that were causing the experience menus to get slow and sluggish after a while.
Fixed an issue where the players could not resume their lap if they opened the pause menu after session timer reached 0.

Multiplayer
Added full name, total time, finish status and lap information such as time, position and pit stop status to race result logs.
Fixed a crash that occurred to everyone in the race if one of the participants had a name longer than 32 characters which was exceeding the buffer and causing issues in replay creation.
Fixed an issue with players not seeing each other outside of P2P zone.
Fixed mp dedi front end not loading properly on Internet Explorer.

Sector3 Studios have released the 2015 version of their official DTM Experience PC racing title.

Like past versions of the DTM Experience, the new version brings the recently-finished lineup of cars and tracks from Germany’s most popular touring car series to the PC.
The title properly simulates many of the DTM’s unique features such as DRS and the two-race format.

The new DTM Experience 2015 builds on the success of previous DTM experiences and adds all the 2015 cars from Audi, BMW and Mercedes to your R3E garage. The cars received a physics overhaul and feature improved sounds. In order to deliver the most realistic handling characteristics, the virtual cars are developed with input from real DTM drivers such as Bruno Spengler and Daniel Juncadella.
“Working closely together with highly professional race drivers like Bruno Spengler and Daniel Juncadella, has been an eye opening experience. They are so professional and so targeted at the task or problem at hand, and can isolate problems with the simulation of their race car, in a very precise fashion, where we regular mortals, have to guess most of the time.

Watching them do their thing, being in their element, even though it’s a virtual world they are in, gives us a whole new perspective of a race driver, that there is so much more to it, than just being able to handle a race car.”
Karsten Borchers – Physics Developer
Features
The 8 official DTM race tracks of the 2015 season
The 24 official DTM cars of the 2015 season
3 Physics Models (Novice, Amateur, GetReal)
Features: Pit Stops, Weight Penalties, DRS, ARI, Audio Realism

BMW M4 DTM 2015
Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM

Included Tracks
Circuit Park Zandvoort

Sector3 Studios have just announced that Thailand’s Chang International Circuit (Buriram) will become part of the RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E) track portfolio.

The Asian Circuit opened its doors in 2014 and since then the FIA Grade 1 rated facility has hosted many national and international series, such as the Japanese Super GT, Asian Le Mans Series as well as the TCR International Series and the WTCC. The 4.5 km long track features a good mix of interesting corner combinations and a long straight providing a good overtaking opportunity.

Even more exciting is the news that Sector3 Studios have produced the Buriram in direct collaboration with Tilke GmbH who is the world’s leading real-world race track designer.
We progressed hand in hand with their engineers in order to deliver the most accurate representation of a track that wasn’t even fully completed when we started working on it.
We provided them with regular playable builds, done at each stage of the track production. We identified the best workflow and requirements for future projects in the meantime.
The purpose of this collaboration is long-term and we will be offering Tilke GmbH early hands-on experiences of their designs, before they even go into construction phase, allowing them to refine the flow of a track as early as possible.
We are proud to be part of this exciting venture, and to announce that thanks to this collaboration, RaceRoom will be the first game to officially include the Chang International Circuit in its library.

Following on from the much improved physics updates to the GTR3 class in RaceRoom Racing Experience, Sector 3 Studios have now expanded the offering of vehicles to include the RUF RT12R, Nissan GT-R GT3, Ford GT GT3 and Chevrolet Corvette Z06.R GT3. Check out the full GTR3 class at http://game.raceroom.com/store/cars/gtr-3. Each car sells for 299vRP (USD$3.20/AUD$4.50)

With a grid of 10 high powered sports cars and a selection of interesting real world liveries, the GTR3 pack is fast becoming a favorite amongst R3E fans. Coupled with recent physics improvements and potential additional content in the form of the Bentley Continental GT3 (coming in the soon to be released ADAC GT Masters 2015 pack but could potentially be released for the GTR3 class also), the latest additions are a welcome arrival in this diverse class of cars

Sector3 Studios is getting ready for the annual Black Friday Sale.

While RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E) is one of the most promising sim racing titles out there, a part of the community expressed their opinion regarding the somewhat confusing pricing system of using a virtual currency and the cross vehicle content packs not being very clear. So if you are still in doubt about purchasing RameRoom Racing Experience, for one of the above reasons, you will now have a fantastic opportunity. This coming Friday (27/11/2015), Sector3 Studios will start a very special offer lasting the entire weekend, where you will be able to get ALL the current R3E content for only 49,99€ (~$75 AUD).

Summed up this means that the 49,99€ will get you 87 car models in 24 car classes ranging from historic classics to hill climb racers to modern touring cars, prototypes and GT cars. The cars will feature more than 500 unique high-quality car liveries. Furthermore, you will be able to race the obtained cars at a selection of 29 highly detailed tracks that feature 65 unique track layouts.

So make sure to check out or http://game.raceroom.com/store/ this weekend.

That's a great deal if you don't currently own any content.

It's a bit sad that this sim is lost among the other bigger ones out there. It really is a hoot.

Is there any deals for people that already own stuff?

Oh I also forgot to say that Georg Ortner (S3 Developer) has posted his G27 FFB settings here, might be worth a try no matter what wheel you're using:
https://forum.sector3studios.com/index. ... post-21375
There is also plenty of user FFB setting for all types of wheels in the same thread. ;)

Following the recent software update, Sector 3 Studios have released a new content item: The Audi TT Cup car.

The virtual version of the TT Cup car was created with feedback from two drivers competing in the series as both Mikaela Åhlin Kottulinksy & Joonas Lappalainen tested the car before it was rolled out for users to race.
Powered by a turbo-charged two-liter TFSI four-cyclinder engine, the Audi TT Cup is Germany’s newest one-make racing car. The 310hp cars races in support of the German DTM series, starting with the 2015 season.
During the R3E Audi Sport TT Cup session, you will be able to utilise the Push-to-Pass function for a predefined number of times as per the real series rules. The number of allowed Push-to-Pass activations during the race will be determined by the starting position:
Grid rows 1-3: 15 activations
Grid rows 4-6: 15+1 activations
Grid rows 7-9: 15+2 activations
Grid rows 10-12: 15+3 activations

The Audi TT Cup car comes with 24 liveries, selling for 499vRP (USD$5.47).

Today Sector3 has released a brand new video and a big batch of in-game preview screenshots of the upcoming Formula RaceRoom 2 series. The new video and screenshots show us the RaceRoom FR2 series in action on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

This semi-fictional RaceRoom FR2 open wheeler is loosely based on the real world GP2 car. This high downforce Spec Formula racer is capable of generating up to 1.7 ton of pressure at full speed which makes it relatively easy to handle, and therefore very suitable for close and competitive racing.

The RaceRoom development team did put a lot of effort in the new addon car, featuring a new driver model, animated suspension and a new physics approach. At release, the Formula RaceRoom 2 pack will come with a full grid of 22 unique liveries.

No exact release date is given, but the Formula RaceRoom 2 is expected to be available before Christmas.

Kicking off 2016 in style, Sector 3 Studios have released a full lap on-board video of their upcoming Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The Green Hell will be the first ever R3E track to be based on laser-scan data as the simulation will be the third PC-based title to offer a laser-scanned version of the legendary track, following Assetto Corsa & iRacing.
The video shows a lap around the track on the VLN layout that combines the short-version of the Nürburgring Grand Prix track with the legendary Nordschleife.

Sector3 Studios have released new previews of an upcoming content addition to RaceRoom Racing Experience. The new previews show off the Audi TT-RS touring car that will soon be available for the simulation.
Powered by a 2.5 liter turbo engine, the TT-RS is a specialized design tailored towards competition on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, racing in the VLN series and the Nürburgring 24 Hour race.
The new car will soon be available for purchase and will fit in right at home with R3E’s laser-scanned Nordschleife that is due to be released later this year as well.

Sector3 Studios surprises us today with another very exciting announcement. The RaceRoom development team posted a teaser screenshot showing us the NSU 1200 TT CUP car in action on the RaceRoom version of the Nordschleife. At this time, no release date or further details are known.

Back in the seventies, the NSU 1200 TT competition cars were very popular, small but agile compact racers. The most famous one is without a doubt the orange #71 Jagermeister sponsored NSU 1200 TT driven by Willi Bergmeister. ( Father of current racing drivers Joerg and Tim Bergmeister) Besides being successful on the racing circuit, between 1971 and 1974 the small but great-hearted NSU TT and NSU TTS were the most successful German cars on the national Hillclimb scene.

The original NSU Prinz was an automobile produced in West Germany by the NSU Motorenwerke AG. The car was built from 1957 to 1973. Somewhat later the NSU Prinz evolved into the larger bodied NSU 1000, NSU 1000TT, NSU 1200TT and NSU TTS models. The NSU 1200 TT and TTS outperformed many sports-cars of its time.

Big. Wide. Loud. That's the GTO Class!
While the Audi Sport 90 quattro is already available in RaceRoom, the class will soon start to really come alive with two great new entries.
Namely the Nissan Motorsport 300ZX Z32 and the Ford Motor Company Mustang IMSA GTO
