Eve online

Post by Dr. Pain »

I've been playing eve on and off for about 6 years now and I'm staggered by the size of the current battles that are happening between corporations and their alliances.

For those who have never played, it's an mmo in space, flying ships, and everyone is on the same server and you have to be careful where you go or you will die.

My main in the game is Yasmmine and she's been very lucky in the past and been warned about imminent attacks so I got time to get the hell out of there. So I've been sticking with her even since. Was rather funny one day when I docked in a station, after such a warning, as a fleet arrived and went around killing every miner in that solar system. :) I think that was the start of Hulkageddon where it's open season on miners with prizes and such for the most kills ect...

Stopped a few year ago.

Just became meh, Soloing lv4's and salvaging everything, then going warp hunting and stuff in Null zone.
Some play it safe on the merry-go-round, others go for the thrills of the roller-coaster.

I have a joke for you. I have a prediction that you are going to walk into a bar, my prediction was wrong and your wallet is gone.

If nothing else Eve is a technical masterpiece! The way they keep the thing in sync across hundreds of servers is astounding.

If you were actually in direct control flying the ships from cockpit, I would have been very much interested.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

I think Star Citizen will rock. The subscription has put me off trying eve, but after trying a few free to play's they really suck. I guess I could do the 14 day trial thing.

They have EvE Valkyrie coming something this year. Seems to put you in the pilots seat and will work with an oculus rift.

Eve erected a monument to honour it's players. It's sits on the harbour front in Reykjavik. I found my Yasmmine there via this link http://www.eveonline.com/monument/ row 2, column 7, line 76 facing the seafront. This is awesome and I'd like to visit there now! :)
