Are they serious?

Post by smithcorp »

Saw an advert for this on the TV last night. Nescafe Red Mug Machine. It's a coffee maker like one of those pod ones, but you pour a spoonful of instant coffee in the top and it makes you a cup of instant coffee. FFS. Does this thing, for $99.00, do more than a spoon and a kettle?

Because what makes coffee taste good is noise and steam. The ingredients are incidental.

I think I'll stick with my Jura.

I drink blend 43 but my hand/eye and spoon control means I can get the coffee in the cup nicely, and I know how to boil water. Saved myself $99! :)

Aeropress is about $50 and bloody good. I basically never use a stove top percolator anymore.

Give one a go ysu. You won't be disappointed. Only needs a rinse under the tap when done to clean it too. So easy.

In a city like Melbourne and indeed the rest of oz , you would think the marketing arm would realise the futility of this idea.
