HTPC

Post by NeilPearson »

hey Guys,

Looking at upgrading my HTPC as its running a really old Cpu/mobo combo and its struggling with playback on plex a bit.

Im really not sure what mobo to get, im thinking of getting a i36100 as I dont do 4k streaming and everything I have read says it will be fine. Case I have currently is a full atx case but i could upgrade that to a smaller case, im not fussed if I go micro atx or mini or whatever.

any thoughts on mobo?

thanks!

Would an Android based media player interest you? Or maybe your HTPC does more than just playback.

More than playback. I have it setup for auto acquisition.

There's shitloads of them. Careful though some of the super cheapies have dodgy power supplies. From my limited testing I get the feeling they're using the Android Tablet intrerface.
