iPhone 7 thing....
Fuck I hope this sinks those arrogant fucks. Loving the fact the ear buds have been recognised as a choking hazard. The price is also a choking hazard.

From what little coverage I've seen of the iPhone 7, I can't see it enticing any users back from Android that's for sure.

Re: iPhone 7 thing....
I just rocked an Android phone for a few weeks. Not too bad, but for me just not up to scratch compared to iOS.
Removing the 3.5mm jack is a deal breaker for me though. I dislike wireless headphones, and use some fairly high end headphones that I don't want to be forced into using an adapter for. My iPhone 6 is good enough for the next couple of years I reckon. Perhaps they will come to their senses and put it back. Then again, probably not.

So true! I also noticed the mid tier option (128GB model) has reduced in price by $70 this year for Aussies.norbs wrote:The price is also a choking hazard.

Re: iPhone 7 thing....
My only question is why didn't people loose their minds when Android phones did this from 2014?

As far as i know it's only the Moto Z that ditched it. Maybe more will in the future depending on how Apple go with their move. My main concern is the ear buds not being connected. It'd be so easy to lose just one. Also another device to have to charge. If someone does it properly it might work, because headphone wires can be a huge pain in the arse.

Yep agree. Not that I'm in the market of wireless headphones but if I was I think I'd be hard pressed to choose these Apple ones, surely there's literary a bucket load of wireless headphones already available, the choice must be abundant.w00dsy wrote:My main concern is the ear buds not being connected. And yes the charging thing. I wish Apple would just bloody prefect their true wireless charging patent. What we have now is "inductive charging", Apple patent/s are meant to use WiFi Access Points to provide data and power to connected devices. That's when I think the whole battery based charging issue will disappear.
Don't we have wireless charging now? No, because if WiFi worked the same, I'd have to put my laptop on top of the Access Point to use the internet

Eh.. really don't care either way, already got tiny slim Bluetooth device for my Bike and Car, works a treat.
Wireless charging is ok, but wasteful with power and creates more heat, and battery's generally do not last as long because of that, compared to plugging it in.

Interesting, what wasnt up to scratch about it Dex. Having used both operating systems and a few flavours of OEM's skews along with stock Android, im wondering if it was a familiarity thing more than anything else.DexterPunk wrote:I just rocked an Android phone for a few weeks. A render? Surely people don't put stock into pixels.

I can't decide which has spawned the funnies memes between the Airpods and Note 7...
