Anyone running nVidia SLI?
I am thinking of getting another 1070 Strix to run next to the current one.
nVidia SLI and games.

I'm not a fan of SLI. Game support/performance varies by a fair amount and it can be a hassle getting it to work sometimes. Then you have potential stuttering etc to worry about.
I'd look at selling the 1070 (coin miners are buying them all up apparently, though Pix might want it if he gets a rift) and get a 1080Ti, which are currently around $1300. Guess it would depend how much you can get for the 1070.

Re: nVidia SLI and games.
I did run SLI for a long while. It gives you a varied results, much depending on the game. And I'm not sure the memory on both cards is used as it should. (it definitely does not 'add up')
Unlike Darren, I did not have a single technical problem, it was working flawlessly. I did have problems with ATI dual-card setups before that; the ATI drivers were rubbish.
I've used SLI with multiple screens, too (3 of them to be precise) and that worked very well, too. Probably performed better than a single 4k screen.
I can tell you that going from a 970 x2 setup to a Zotac 1080Ti gave me a nice ~50% increase in framerates in Doom, and an incredible increase in tests. Maybe the test (superposition) did not really use SLI. Anyway, 1080p medium rendering in superposition had a 57fps on SLI, 155fps on the 1080Ti.
Doom: around 40fps->60fps was the difference - this is in 4k full screen though.
At higher res, you really need a nice big chunk of memory

If you decide to go for a 1080 instead of SLI, norbs, I might be interested in the 1070.

Plus $30 shipping seems like a decent deal.
