I’m kind of amazed that I’m more hanging out for the next (new) Top Gear season than I am for this. I definitely didn’t expect that would be the case.

Yeah I'm not planning on renewing my Amazon Prime membership, which I got last year mainly to watch The Grand Tour.

I might change my mind if it gets good reviews but I'm not that bothered about paying to see more of the same bad acting and contrivance.

Exactly my feeling about it Durbs. It’s pretty damn cringey. I really like the guys when they are being themselves. Watched Richard and James make LEGO for over an hour and found it more entertaining than the grand tour. That’s mainly because they weren’t trying to act to some poorly written gag script.

Must admit I haven't missed it at all. I haven't got Amazon Prime and didn't even go looking for clips on youtube.

I honestly couldn't tell you five things the happened in the first series. There was the odd laugh here and there and it wasn't really bad, just a bit meh.

I got the impression from the show title that it was going to be more of a travel car show. All like the overseas specials they used to do on Top Gear, rather than a tent that they do Top Gear from. It seems like a bit of a wasted opportunity at times being in those countries and not doing a ‘Grand Tour’. You’re right. It’s not terrible. There are good bits in there. I was just hoping for a new concept.

I'd say you guys would find giving up smokes easier than this show

That's sort of what happened last year. I only signed up for Amazon on the night TGT started after curiosity got the better of me so maybe it'll happen again, but I did conclude it probably wasn't worth it after the series ended.

I found it hard to get into but once i had some time available pushed through the cringe and enjoyed myself. I think it was around episode 4 when it started to feel more natural rather than scripted. I hope this season drops the celebrity that dies each time. That was old from ep 2

Former Nascar driver Mike Skinner has revealed he won't be taking part in the second series of the Grand Tour.

He has revealed his character, The American, won't be brought back for the show's second season.

'For your information, I won’t be joining the guys on The Grand Tour’s 2nd season. I wish them all the luck. My character wasn’t developed as I was told,' Skinner posted on Twitter.

Ahem.

It appears I accidentally renewed Amazon Prime a couple of weeks ago due to an administration error (I got the renewal date wrong so didn't cancel it), so I guess I'll be watching this after all.

Amazing how one poor promo can ruin your enthusiasm for a show. I thought there might be a chance for this season, but if the same people who made this deadful tat are anywhere near the production, there is no hope.
