Cricket, cricket, cricket.....

Post by Dr. Pain »

May as well just start a cricket thread without the usual 17/18 tag so it can just keep going.

How good is Ellyse Perry going! First ever day/night Ashes test and she ends up 213 not out with a strike rate of 56.95.

The game isn't on TV only a live stream but the crowd have been rolling up at North Sydney for the night session when she got her double hundred. But it shows that cricket at night during summer works. Yeah the crowd is smaller for the girls but it's still very entertaining to watch.

Impressive!

I haven’t kept up with anything cricket for at least 12 months. What’s happening? Do we suck or?

The girls test is awesome! Perfect kick off for the season.

Dex, we suck, but hopefully not as much as the poms!

Anyone got a live video feed of the test? I cant cope with the 9 commentary team constantly jerking each other off.

Just mute the volume, that's how I watch it most of the time.

That first test was good for 3 days.

Lets hope we get something in Adelaide but with all that rain about, I'm not sure.

I see the poms sent Basher Stokes to NZ. He better not get in the turps there and look for it. He will find someone to accommodate him and rip him a new one.

Looks like the Poms have actually turned up today.

Jesus Handscomb is painful to watch. He looks like he will be out every ball. There's unorthodox and then there is that.

Top tip England, if you put teams into bat then make sure you bring the attack to get them out.

Any one see what happened in India? Sri Lanka had 4 bowlers with partly finished overs on the stat sheet - never seen that before.
They had the Physio and the fielding coach change into whites as they had run out of players to be fielders. Kohil just said fuck it and declared - then picked up a wicket with the first ball.
If it had not all been so serious it would have been wonderful theatre.

Last night is why I love test cricket soooooo much! That drama of things not going quiet right, England starting to believe with the Balmy's in full voice sticking it to Steve Smith with no reviews left... Then Pattie Cummins........ BANG!!!!!!!!! :vibes:

Yeah I agree, the last session on day 4 was awesome despite the terrible bowling..

Playing the poms is awesome. Shame they couldn't pull it off and blow the series open.

How to break a record :)

Perry hit a nice six as well but it donged some young kid between the eyes after a ricochet. It rattled her big time. But the girls are starting to get some power when they hit.

It was awesome! It's up there with Warne's first ball in England to Mike Gatting.

This series was going to be one sided. The real test is coming with a 4 games series in South Africa in Feb next year.

Hobart have a few speed demons in their bowling attack now. Tymal Mills is one bowler who can throw them down fast but he has a spinal issue at agitates his spinal cord. So his 4 day career ended a couple of years ago and he became a T-20 bowler and made a lazy $2.3 mill in the IPL this year.
